START AND STOP
RECORDING
To Start Recording
If you select the check box "Answer Manually" in the setup routine you will
have to click on the "Answer" button manually from the Caller ID pop-up window
when a call comes in.
If you want Smart Phone Recorder to work
automatically, you must uncheck the "Answer Manually" check box. When a call
comes in just lift the handset of your telephone and Smart Phone Recorder will
automatically begin recording your conversation.
If no one answers the incoming call Smart Phone Recorder responds as an answering machine
(unlimited message length if registered).
To Stop Recording
If your modem driver is compatible with your local telephone protocol, Smart Phone
Recorder will automatically stop recording when the calling party hangs up.
You may stop recording by clicking the
"Hang Up" button (functional only when the "Answer Manually" option is
checked).
You may press the pound sign twice (##) on the
telephone keypad to hang up your phone call immediately.
If you set the "Silence Detect" check box on, Smart Phone Recorder will stop recording after a pre-set number of seconds of silence has elapsed (pre-set by you during the setup routine).
If you set the "Smart Fast Busy Signal Detector" check box on, Smart Phone Recorder will stop recording after the fast busy signal has been detected (even your modem driver is not compatible with your local telephone protocol).
